Your role and responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated engineer with 6+ years of experience in CI/CD pipeline development, cloud automation, and infrastructure management. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in DevOps practices, container platforms, and automation tools, supporting innovative digital transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for App Connect applications, including:

• Configuration object generation

• BAR file builds

• Integration server deployments

• Resource specification setups

• Horizontal Pod Autoscaling (HPA) configuration

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Node.js microservices.

• Manage service accounts and secret management processes, including integration with Azure Key Vault.

• Create, maintain, and optimize Tekton tasks and pipelines for automation workflows.

• Perform basic OpenShift cluster administration, including project management and application deployment.

• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to streamline build, deployment, and monitoring processes.

• Continuously improve automation and deployment strategies by implementing DevOps best practices.

• Document pipeline designs, deployment models, and troubleshooting guidelines.

• Provide support for production pipeline issues and participate in root cause analysis and improvement plans.

• Engage in knowledge sharing sessions to uplift DevOps capabilities across teams.

Required education

Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

Required Skills:

• 6+ years of experience in DevOps engineering, CI/CD development, and cloud-native environments.

• Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Tekton or similar frameworks.

• Strong experience in managing containerized applications on OpenShift or Kubernetes.

• Good understanding of cloud secret management tools, particularly Azure Key Vault.

• Experience with GitOps principles and working with GitHub or similar version control systems.

• Basic proficiency in OpenShift administration (user management, quotas, resource limits, etc.)

• Solid scripting skills (Shell, Bash, or Python) for automation tasks.

Preferred technical and professional experience

Preferred Skills:

• Hands-on experience with IBM App Connect Enterprise (APPC) development and deployments.

• Familiarity with IBM Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4I) architecture and operations.

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) expertise, especially using Terraform.

• Experience with automation tools like Ansible.

• OpenShift Administrator or Developer Certification.

• Terraform Associate Certification.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps practices and pipelines.
