IBM is seeking a motivated and experienced marketing professional to support the Consulting segment within the Application Operations and CxO marketing space
Your role and responsibilities
As a Consulting Field Marketing & Communication Professional, you'll build go-to-market plans in your geography/market to drive consulting signings pipeline and signings objectives based on a deep understanding of clients, partners and the local market.
The Consulting Marketer will help achieve the following objectives for the market he/she covers:
- Grow IBM Consulting pipeline through Strategic Partners and Alliances. Coach their team on pipeline analysis and directs the work of overall multi-program plans across team members to drive tangible and quantifiable results with omnichannel journeys (events, campaigns, digital, etc.).
- Develop and execute marketing strategies in support of Consulting.
- Deepen engagement with client and strategic partners. Lead by example and coach their team on being experts on client and partner audiences as well as competitors- and actively bringing insights from the field back to IBM to ensure audience centricity across teams and client feedback to improve marketing execution.
- Drive brand eminence and advocacy through client references, client speaking engagements and external communications. Lead by example and coaches the team to proactively collect and action client and partner feedback to improve marketing execution across programs and accelerate impact in market (messaging, programs, etc.).
- Drive client participation in marquis geography/ market events.
- Develop marketing strategies to progress pipeline across priority campaigns. Coach their team on how to determine innovative ways to progress pipeline and works across teams to create and execute progression-oriented programs and campaigns.
- Lead with Go-To-Market Expertise: Collaborate with Sales, Clients, IBM Strategic Partners / Alliances and key internal stakeholders. Brief, enable and mentor team on IBM's GTM motions & what helps differentiate from competition, create a plan of impactful programs, and actively coach broader team on how to compete and win in the market.
- Measure, analyze, and report on the impact of marketing and communications activities.
Your primary responsibilities include:
- Serving as the main POC to executive stakeholders for Application Operations, co-creating Americas marketing plans with them to drive outcomes for their businesses.
- Execute across multiple projects of high complexity and influence functional strategy for the Application Operations service line, focusing on all strategic partner ISVs and CSPs.
- Be recognized as Subject Matter Expert in Application Operation and hybrid cloud related offerings and Consulting offerings in implementation, operation, and advisory services and the benefits for different buyer cohorts.
- Lead others in their work, providing innovative ideas, working across multiple client segments, partners, and markets. Serve as the voice of the Americas in all phases of planning to ensure that cross-disciplinary worldwide plans are able to land in the geo and drive outcomes for the business.
As part of our flexible and collaborative approach, we require candidates to enjoy the hybrid experience, working in our office three times a week.

Required technical and professional expertise
- 6-10 years Marketing experience.
- Expertise in pipeline analysis to drive results across the marketing mix.
- Expertise in client and partner audiences, bringing insights from the field back to IBM.
- Experience in developing marketing strategy and supporting marketing execution plans.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred technical and professional experience
- Consulting marketing experience.
- Hybrid cloud marketing experience.
- Experience working with IBM Strategic Partners and/or co-marketing.
