Introduction

IBM's US Financial Services Market is looking to hire a seasoned sales leader to drive our Agentic AI go-to-market. This is an individual contributor role that will have large territory covering 50+ accounts across the U.S. In this role you will function as both a subject matter expert and a sales leader.

Your role and responsibilities

• Direct sales of our Agentic AI capabilities including Watsonx Orchestrate to 50+ of the largest financial services companies in the U.S.

• Embedded sales of our Agentic AI capabilities to the 50+ largest financial services companies in the U.S. Embedded sales involve establishing new commercial relationships whereby IBM clients embed our software capabilities into their own products and services and collect a premium.

• Establishing Agentic AI Innovation Labs with our premier clients to accelerate utilization and deployment of our watsonx capabilities

• Leading pilots a POCs for IBM's AI capabilities

• Forecasting in and out quarter performance in relation to the deals that retire your quota

• Developing pipeline including prospecting, qualification and contracting

• Delivering executive level customer facing presentations where you position the value and differentiation of IBM's Agentic AI capabilities

• Working within a matrixed organization and partnering with IBM account teams, GSI and Business Partners to scale IBM's Agentic AI GTM within the US Financial Services Market

• Attending customer events to build deep relationships with new buyers and users

• Overseeing deployment and working with IBM's CSM organization to ensure utilization of our software and SaaS solutions

Required education

Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

  • 10+ years of experience selling software and SaaS solutions to large scale financial services clients
  • Experience leading a matrixed sales organization and go-to-market
  • Proven track record of overachieving sales targets
  • Technical aptitude in machine learning, deep learning, artificial intelligence, and generative artificial intelligence
  • Technical aptitude in Agentic AI frameworks and AI agent orchestration
  • Experience in both direct and embedded sales
  • Proven track record working with GSI and Business Partners and scaling their success

Preferred technical and professional experience

Data & AI Market Knowledge: Expertise in the Data & AI market to serve as a trusted client advisor (training on IBM's Data & AI offerings will be provided).
