IBM is looking for an Adobe Experience Manager Architect who will help us create cutting-edge solutions leveraging the full set of capabilities provided by the Adobe Experience Cloud software components. The Adobe Experience Manager Architect will create solutions and participate actively in sales efforts to generate impactful results for IBM clients. You will utilize your technical and industry skills, as well as business acumen, to provide recommendations for integrated solutions and offerings to solve our clients' business challenges and deliver value.
Your role and responsibilities
- Develop and present the solution concept around Digital Platforms, and Adobe in particular, with your project team to our client and articulate the business value.
- Create the technical detail concept for implementation and relevant implementation models.
- Lead the implementation of AEM and Content Supply Chain for new clients, ensuring a smooth transition from their previous systems.
- Lead Discovery, Design and Configuration of AEM platform to meet the unique needs of each client, including custom workflows, reporting structures, and integrations.
- Work closely on backlog topics, acceptance criteria and user stories with the product owner and the client team
- Facilitate client workshops around solution envisioning and architectural design.
- Support our account teams in presales activities.
- Manage team of on-shore and off-shore Adobe configurators, assigning and delegating work based on client needs and team abilities. Review configuration work and provide feedback and training where needed.
- Provide expert change management support to client teams, helping them maximize their use of the platform.
- Act as a subject matter expert, offering ongoing consultation and support to clients, addressing their evolving needs and challenges.
- Collaborate with internal teams to stay abreast of product updates and enhancements, ensuring clients benefit from the latest features.
- Conduct regular health checks and performance reviews of client implementations, identifying areas for optimization and improvement.
- Manage client expectations, communicate progress effectively, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to the continuous development of our Adobe practice, sharing insights and best practices across the organization.

Required technical and professional expertise
- Deep Domain knowledge in Marketing and Marketing Transformation
- Bachelor's degree in business, Information Technology, or a related field. An advanced degree or relevant certifications (such as Adobe Certified Expert) preferred.
- At least 5 years' experience as an AEM Consultant or similar role, ideally within a consultancy or software implementation firm.
- In-depth knowledge of AEM Sites, Assets, Forms and Edge Delivery Service functionalities and capabilities, with hands-on experience in configuration, customization, and Expert Certification, with a focus on AEM as a Cloud Service.
- Deep understanding of AEM architecture, including workflows, OSGi, sling models, and the JCR repository.
- Experience with Java, REST, content migration and integration patterns, along with microservices architecture.
- AEM integrations with Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe Campaign, AEP, Workfront, and eCommerce platforms preferred.
- Familiarity or experience with GenStudio is a plus.
- Proven track record in managing client relationships and driving successful outcomes.
- Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies, and content supply chain in Marketing organizations. Experience operating within an Agile team a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to think critically and creatively to overcome client challenges.
- Flexibility to travel, as onboarding and support may require visits to client sites.
Preferred technical and professional experience
- Deep knowledge on the Adobe Experience Cloud suite, both from a pre-sale and a delivery perspective.
- Ability to communicate independently with senior client stakeholders
- Track record of efficiently working with geographically remote teams
