Humana Healthy Horizons (HHH) in Indiana is seeking a Business Intelligence Lead to work as the market level expert for data related needs. This position is responsible for HHH's business intelligence solutions & metrics, data governance, network development & management, and data management. It will require the capacity to use independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

The Business Intelligence Lead's work will involve complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Work is typically performed without direction, so there is considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to responsibilities.

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead/develop two associates with oversight of data management, reporting, analysis and insights for Indiana Pathways program
  • Continuous issue identification, resolution and development of remediation efforts related to data with cross-functional departments
  • Lead Data Governance development and ongoing processes and documentation
  • Monitor and address data quality and work with business team and data engineers to supports data governance programs and ensure data used to build models derives from a single source of truth
  • Oversight of metrics across teams including claims (denials, payments, auto-adjudication, rework), encounters, state complaints, clinical, quality, G&A, finance
  • Manage updates to Network Development and Management Plan (NDMP)
  • Establishes and maintains data repositories
  • Develop, monitor and maintain data models as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 8 or more years of technical experience in data analysis OR Master's degree and 4 years of experience OR equivalent experience
  • 2 or more years of project leadership or management experience
  • Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations
  • Experience analyzing data with tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, and Qlik to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and translate requirements between business, project management and technical projects or programs
  • Proficiency in understanding Healthcare related data
  • Proficiency in verbal/written communication to senior and executive leadership
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • Advanced in SQL, SAS and other data systems
  • Expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and/or predictive modeling
  • Experience creating analytics solutions for various healthcare sectors

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$104,800 - $144,300 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
