We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SEO Manager to lead our search engine optimization strategy and drive organic traffic growth across the websites of our portfolio of brands. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SEO best practices and a proven track record of delivering measurable results.

The SEO Manager will work closely with the Content and Demand Generation managers to ensure the content of our portfolio of websites are optimized for search engines and lead generation.

Our ideal candidate for this role is an expert in SEO, able to identify opportunities, setting SEO strategies, driving execution, and reporting on performance. The candidate must be analytical, organized, and have experience managing several SEO projects at the same time without compromising excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute successful SEO strategies to increase the visibility and ranking of our websites across search engines.
  • Conduct keyword research and analysis to identify growth opportunities.
  • Monitor and analyze SEO performance metrics using tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Yoast SEO, ScreamingFrog, Frase, and/or other emerging AI SEO tools.
  • Collaborate with content creators and marketing teams to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into content development.
  • Experienced on building off page SEO strategies including backlinking, competitor backlinking.
  • Optimize website content for search engines and lead generation.
  • Manage and improve organic search engine performance based on click-through rates, traffic, and conversions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, impact and opportunities of AI, search algorithm updates, and industry standards.
  • Prepare and present reports regularly on the progress of SEO efforts and adjust strategies as necessary.
  • Help identify and manage SEO agencies / contractors / freelancers when additional support is needed.
  • Conduct website audits to identify technical, on page, off page issues/opportunities for current and future websites.
  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of SEO specialists.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an SEO managerial role with a successful track record.
  • Strong understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking strategies.
  • Experience with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Moz, Ahrefs Yoast SEO, Frase, Clearscope, ScreamingFrog, etc.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities with experience in managing and motivating teams.
  • Proficient in HTML/CSS and WordPress or other content management systems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in insurance or finance sectors
Education

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Information Technology, or relevant field.

Work Location

Hybrid in office 3 days a week at 150 N Riverside Plaza, Chicago IL
