Desktop Engineer :

The Desktop Engineer is a member of the Desktop Management team and responsible for the management, operations, and maintenance of all IT hardware for Hub end users, both employees and contractors. The engineer is responsible for managing the ticket queues, working with contracted third-party vendors, working escalations to resolution, and identifying and addressing improvement opportunities. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required, as there is a wide variety of IT hardware across the 500+ HUB offices.

MAJOR DUTIES: Desktop Support
  • Responsible for providing support and troubleshooting for client computing issues and endpoint security related issues as requested
  • Support all aspects of PC deployments
  • Manage the lifecycle of Desktop Management change requests from inception to implementation
  • Analyzes problem trends and develop ideas to achieve incident and problem resolution
  • Support the Intune / SCCM Engineers to help test and validate images, task sequences, and change requests
  • Provide input and support to the Field Services personnel
  • Maintain the knowledge base of desktop support processes and support articles
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to undertake the above responsibilities
  • Demonstrated knowledge of desktop support and desktop software
  • Demonstrable experience in leading contractors and vendor partner teams
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse environment of incident management, service requests, escalation procedures, and related disciplines
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proven communication skills including the ability to work collaboratively with end-users and executives
  • Strong interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), negotiation, and collaboration skills incorporating the ability to effectively work with all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated high level analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify issues and risks and work with HUB stakeholders for resolution
  • Possess shared vision and values that create culture of customer service, accountability, capability building
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in desktop support
  • Experience in desktops, laptops, printing, peripherals, and conference room support
  • Windows 10 and 11 experience with enterprise desktop deployments and management
  • Intune and SCCM experience a plus
  • Nexthink experience a plus
Although hybrid to a local HUB office is desirable, this position is open to remote candidates.
