Account Executive

Job Purpose

This position would have a focus in Marketing of Middle Market accounts; accounts up to $2,000,000 in premium.

Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Ability to use various online rating systems
  • Ability to complete applications including Acord and supplemental
  • Knowledge of various carrier appetites and guidelines
  • Ability to negotiate terms and conditions based on client risk attributes
  • Handle or refer insured's and underwriter's questions
  • Maintaining account folders in accordance with internal Quality Control guidelines
  • Check policy coverages and endorsement on all new business and renewals for accuracy and relevance
  • Complete specs, prepare proposals, policy summaries and reviews
  • Review policies for accuracy and adequacy of coverage, including rating calculations
  • Assist with Accounting department on research and justification of premium charges as compared with endorsements and invoices
  • Pursue a program of professional development
  • Begin studies for appropriate licenses

  • Detail oriented with good mathematical and communication skills
  • Ability to understand, analyze, and research different lines of insurance
  • Good typing skills and computer literacy
  • Ability to work within designated time frames
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • License required
Required Skills:
  • Strong computer skills; Excel & Word a must
  • Applied Epic Experience Preferred
Required Experience:
  • 3 years' experience
The expected pay range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience, and work location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope, and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include health/dental/vision/life/disability insurance, FSA, HSA and 401(k) accounts, paid-time-off benefits, and commissions for some positions.
