Mechanical/Analysis Engineer

Camarillo, CA

Essential Duties:
Generate and maintain Design, Simulation, and Experimental Analysis of advanced electro-mechanical hardware assemblies with direction from program/product leads.
Experience in the design and manufacturing of Focal Plane Modules, Integrated Dewar Assemblies, or EOIR systems.
Generate product make/buy drawings with GD&T and practical machine shop and fabrication knowledge.
Cryogenic Product and Tooling design.
Report and present, both formally (via Design review presentations) and informally (via technology interchange meetings) Mechanical Design and Analyses to Customers (internal and external) as well as work with the Key Stakeholders to optimize System Design.
Knowledge of how PLM/PDM software is used and release processes in a government environment.

Lead a work product from inception to hand off in production.
Work within project budget and schedule using an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS.)
A strong knowledge of manufacturing is preferred.

Required Skills:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Design, Analysis, and Manufacturing environment, preferably with Infrared Devices
Hands on experience working in a design and build laboratory
Experience using Solidworks (or equivalent CAD program,) developing and reading mechanical drawings, technical writing for build history and test reporting
Experience using finite element modeling
Strong background in precision alignment, IC interconnect to packaging, and adhesive bonding
Experience in product reviews and gates (IE PDR, CDR, etc.) with customers and suppliers
Understanding of MIL, ASTM, ASME, AWS, IPC, NASA Standards
Understanding and use of Earned Value Metrics and of the Machine/Process Qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) needed
Proficiency in use of computers, engineering work stations, verbal and written communication, interaction with customers/colleagues in a deadline-driven environment.

Required Education:
MS/BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in a cleanroom with appropriate PPE.
Must be able to lift 25lbs.

Special Requirements:
U.S. citizenship is required.
Ability to obtain a clearance is required.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $120,715 - $150,895 + bonus + benefits.
