The Gonzalez Lab at UCSF is seeking an energetic, curious, and driven Postdoctoral Associate interested in systems neuroscienceto join our research team. The Gonzalez lab focuses on identifying the fundamental mechanism by which neurons process information and control behavior in mice and songbirds. We are particularly interested in implementing electrophysiological (high density probes) and imaging (single/multi-photon) tools to record neuronal activity in behaving mice/songbirds and identify how performance of complex motor behaviors is controlled by the brain. We take a multidisciplinary approach to research which often includes tool development as well as approaches in molecular, cellular and system neuroscience.
