Transport Operations Controller

WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Transport Operations Controller, you will act as a Business Partner to the Transport Operations Manager to achieve business results. You will work towards optimizing performance and ensuring compliance within the Transport function.
- Owner and speaking partner in the budget process and related closings together with the Transport Operations Manager
- Collecting and computing data daily from all related departments (returns, YMS, carrier etc)
- Analyze and give 10 top insights and suggested actions on the data computed and collected
- Identify business opportunities to increase cost efficiency in the transportation network
- Set the report structure and visual framework for the presentation of in daily and weekly meetings
- Computing/ calculating all financial aspects in a tender process
- Managing CERES and CO2 reporting from all contracted partners in the day-to-day business as well as in tenders
- Responsible to ensure the quality and that requirements are met in all cost and sustainability appendixes in the RFP package
- Responsible for invoice control and rate follow up for all connected carriers and suppliers
- Computing all transport related data to reflect the agreed KPIs in score cards and regional reports

WHO YOU ARE

- Deep knowledge of controlling, logistics, transport, related software and regional specifics, as well as operational capabilities
- Good understanding of cross-functional departments and collaboration within Regions
- Solid skills in project mgmt., prioritization and business case

- Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business or management related field. CPA or CMA a plus
- 3+ years experience in logistics, accounting and finance as a controller or assistant controller
- Preferably experience working in a distribution center environment
- Advanced computer knowledge including Microsoft Office Suite
- 2-3 years of budgeting experience, including P&L, forecasting, etc.
- Up-to-date knowledge and understanding of accounting and finance practices
- Ability to look at business need and cost consciousness
- Excellent people and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a high pressure, multi-personality, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload.
- Ability to protect confidential information
- Excellent organizational skills

Compensation: salary range is $86,804 - $97,655 annually
