Job Description

As a Compensation Analyst in the HR function, your main focus will be to conduct analyses and provide insights to support the development, implementation, and management of the organization's compensation programs for USA and Canada, including Puerto Rico . This role involves evaluating internal and external compensation data, ensuring pay equity, efficiently administering compensation practices, and contributing to the design of competitive and equitable compensation structures.

This hybrid role reports into our Total Rewards Operations Lead and is based out of the New Jersey Support Office

A Day in the Life

Working at H&M means no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will include the following responsibilities

  • Conduct regular market surveys and benchmarking to assess the competitiveness of the organization's compensation structures
  • Analyze external salary data to make informed recommendations on salary ranges and adjustments and perform geographical cost of living and cost of labor analysis
  • Evaluate and classify positions within the organization based on job responsibilities, skills, and market data
  • Maintain accurate job descriptions and ensure alignment with internal and external market practices
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the annual compensation planning process
  • Collaborate with HR partners to provide data-driven insights for merit increases, promotions, and other compensation adjustments
  • Conduct analyses to ensure pay equity within the organization, identifying and addressing any disparities and collaborate with HR and leadership to develop strategies for maintaining equitable pay practices
  • Administer compensation programs and analyze the effectiveness of all plans, including bonuses and incentives
  • Stay abreast of regulations and laws for USA, Canada and Puerto Rico related to compensation and ensure that compensation practices comply with all relevant laws and regulations
  • Up to 5% domestic travel may be required

Qualifications

Who You Are:

  • Experience in compensation analysis, job evaluation, and market pricing
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with compensation survey methodologies and participation
  • Enthusiastic, curious and driven to learn
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Knowledge of compensation laws, regulations, and best practices, particularly for USA, Canada, and Puerto Rico

Compensation: salary range is $ 66,793 - $ 75,142 annually
