Hitachi Energy located in Alamo, TN is seeking a Weekend Electro Mechanical Repair Technician to join its team. In this position, you will follow safety and work procedures to perform preventative maintenance, routine mechanical and/or electrical repairs on production and processing equipment.
The selected candidate will troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and replace electrical and/or mechanical components as necessary to ensure maximum uptime and customer satisfaction and modify equipment as assigned to support a continuous improvement culture.
How You'll Make a Difference:
- Observe and follow all safety rules and procedures including Lock-Out-Tag-Out
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machines and plant equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance on machines and equipment and make recommendations to PM program
- Run conduit and pull wire for new machines and equipment.
- Must be able to read/follow blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings and technical manuals
- Working knowledge of 115 & 480V equipment, how to safely troubleshoot, diagnose and repair
- Troubleshoot/repair systems or equipment such as hydraulic systems, transformers, motors, DC circuitry, PLCs, variable frequency drives, relays, switches, position sensing devices and printed circuit boards
- Monitor and document observations, settings, readings, meters, gauges as required
- Proficient in using common electrical/mechanical devices. Ex. multi-meter, amp-probe, megger, calipers, micrometers, dial indicator
- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
- Basic welding and cutting, including acetylene torch, plasma, stick, and brazing
- Secure and complete required department work order documentation
- Responsible for housekeeping in his/her work area and general surroundings
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned

Your Background:
Associate's degree in an engineering discipline or industrial maintenance/electrician certificate from an accredited trade school.
