The opportunity


As a Transport & Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management of the transport and logistics process. This encompasses the definition of requirements and the selection of preferred suppliers, along with other related steps within the purchasing process. You will establish budgets for both tenders and project execution and oversee the shipping of heavy-lift equipment weighing up to 500 tons.

You will ensure the feasibility and route surveys for intermodal heavy-lift transports within the domestic market. This role operates within a high-paced global environment and involves extensive interaction with internal teams, Swedish transport administration, and freight forwarders. As such, you will serve as a crucial link and coordinator among all stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities

  • Serve as Project transport Specialist in Transport, Trade, and Logistics, ensuring compliance with KPIs related to safety, quality, cost, delivery, innovation, and sustainability.
  • Proactively support project and logistics planners, addressing transport challenges with suppliers.
  • Develop, plan, and implement Transport and Logistics strategies, focusing on creating end-to-end transport budgets for tenders, optimizing transport portfolios, costs, and quality, while minimizing risks.
  • Oversee transportation logistics for the Swedish market, including feasibility studies, budgeting, planning, sourcing, contracting, and negotiation. Evaluate road surveys, storage areas, port capacities, and technical solutions for efficient lashing and lifting plans.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to mitigate risks and interact with stakeholders during tender and project execution.
  • Coordinate and plan permit applications and route analysis.
  • Manage both rail and road transport logistics.

Your background

  • Extensive experience in transport, shipping, and heavy-lift logistics (minimum 150 tons). Including customs and quotations experience for transport.
  • Experience with Authorities is meritorious.
  • Expertise in rail and road transport logistics.
  • Fluent in English and Swedish; additional languages are a plus.
  • Excellent collaboration skills in a multicultural, global business environment.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills under pressure.
  • Energetic, curious, and self-confident, with a drive for continuous improvement.
