Tender/Quotation Specialist

Córdoba, Spain

Mission

  • Preparation of technical-commercial service proposals in electrical systems ensuring alignment with relevant Hitachi Energy procedures and guidelines as well as legal requirements.
  • Ensure most competitive offers considering the market situation and customer's priorities and conditions. Identify optimal service solution approach to be applied to better serve the customer and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Coordination with cross-functional teams like sales, legal, engineering, purchasing and operations teams, and other Business Units during the process.
  • Develops and continuously improves the bid processes and tools.
Your responsibilities
  • You will be focused on preparation of service projects quotations, defining customer specific scope of services, performing cost analysis and T&C review:
  • Understanding customer technical specifications and estimating the costs, resources, time, and technical requirements of service proposals: diagnosis, preventive/predictive/corrective maintenance, service level agreements, retrofits, replacements, extensions, spare parts, installation and commissioning.
  • Evaluating proposals to ensure they are technically accurate and consistent with the organization's quality standards.
  • Ensures the validation of terms and conditions (commercial, technical, legal, pricing).
  • Performing bid/no bid analyses and managing risk review processes
  • Active participation in business development
  • Contribute to the growth of classic service portfolio business as well as new digital solutions and products, aligned with the company strategy.
  • Close collaboration with the Front End Sales team supporting them to determine optimal and most cost-effective solutions to meet customer needs, also during customer meetings and contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate in value proposition and strategy definition, creating M&S toolkit
  • Effectively working together with Supply Chain Management to collect, evaluate and discuss information from internal and external suppliers and other stakeholders, and coordinate the selection.
  • Effective use of related available tools and systems: SFDC for opportunities and tenders management and reporting, Procure for supplier management.
  • Collaboration in the preparation of KPI's reports to evaluate and improve the performance.
  • Continous development and improvement of technical skills (focused on sales) related to substations and power quality equipment as well as digital solutions portfolio.

  • Education: Degree in Electrical engineering or related
  • Expertise: Knowledge / experience in electrical industry, related with substations, power quality and electrical systems. Previous experience in service and solutions field is valuable.
  • Previous experience in quotation process.
  • Excellent communication skills: Advanced English. French is a plus.
  • Team player.
  • Customer focused and results oriented.
  • High attention to the detail and quality oriented. Initiative and proactivity. Ability to deliver on time while being autonomous.
