Telecom Commissioning Engineer 80 - 100% (f/m/d)

The opportunity

In the role of a Telecom Commissioning Engineer you will lead the installation and commissioning of telecom systems of our customers mainly in Switzerland but also worldwide. You will ensure the efficient and cost-effective completion of all commissioning activities in line with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

How you'll make an impact

• In cooperation with our customers or representatives, you will be responsible mainly for the service, including installation supervision, commissioning and testing of our telecommunication systems tailored to the requirements of the global energy sector
• You will put the telecommunication products and systems environment into service and test the full functionality following Hitachi Energy commissioning instructions
• You will conduct Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and hand over the scope of supply to the customer or representatives
• Troubleshoot telecommunication network incidents and conduct corrective actions in cooperation with the responsible project manager or system engineer
• Issue Service Reports and give feedback to project management and system engineering

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in telecommunications with hands-on experience with relevant products
• In-depth knowledge of FOX61x and FOX51x Multiplexer (or similar products) and fiber-optic technology (SDH/PDH/MPLS), telephony (PABX/VoIP), data networks (Ethernet, TCP/IP), and ETL600 Power Line Carrier devices for high-voltage power lines (or similar products)
• Work with PDH, SDH, Ethernet, and MPLS-TP technologies, understanding client needs and proposing solutions
• Having a basic knowledge of distributions like Red Hat LINUX incl. debugging and troubleshooting application and system-level issues in Redhat Linux
• Good command of German and English. French language skills would be an asset
