The opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced R&D Technical Project Management Professional to join our dynamic team at Hitachi Energy. This role requires specific technical knowledge to plan, organize, and control resources, procedures, and timing for technical processes or projects. The successful candidate will develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports, conduct risk analysis, and monitor the progress of plans against project milestones and budgets. They will provide technical and analytical guidance to the project team, ensuring adherence to quality standards and reviewing project deliverables.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Lead sub-area project teams or work as a project team member.
  • Use technical and project management expertise to manage sub-projects and project activities.
  • Define and suggest scope of work, cost/budget, resources required, time schedule, and detailed work allocation for activities.
  • Organize, monitor, and control activities to ensure achievement of planned stage-gates.
  • Track project cost and financials and report deviations.
  • Ensure project activities follow sound methodology and execution practices in accordance with standard Hitachi Energy internal directives and procedures.
  • Identify, contain, and reduce risk together with the R&D Project Manager.
  • Ensure appropriate handling of change requests.
  • Effectively communicate appropriate information to stakeholders in a timely manner to achieve desired understanding and support.
  • Ensure understanding of customer value.

  • Advanced education and work experience in technical project management.
  • Ability to work independently with general supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.
