Team Manager SCM - Project Buisness

The opportunity:

This role will support the tactical and strategic mission of the PGGA SCM teams for North America. This role will be key in supporting the development of processes and tools while reducing lead time, cost, and improving supplier quality. Collaboration with Category Management and Buyers is key to the success of this role along with proactiveness and problem-solving skills are high priority to succeed in this role. The expectation is this role will help to expand the support and knowledge of supply chain across the PGGA business, supporting all business requirements. They must work extremely closely with the local NAM team.

How you'll make an impact:

  • As a Supply Chain Manager for our Projects and Services, a close collaboration with our Sales, Tendering, Service, Operations and Quality Project Management teams in India, OU. Lead the Supply Chain Management in PGGA from tender to project completion.
  • Based on tender / execution request, prepare and send RfQ to potential suppliers, ensure timely receipt and quality of requested offers.
  • Responsible for planning, executing and reporting project sourcing performance, establish Project Procurement Plan and oversee Order Placement Deliveries for timely execution and costs.
  • Lead of Supplier Relationship Management to the key Suppliers which consists of contracting, forecasting, issue resolution as well as leading the negotiations for frame contracts.
  • Make use of GPG contracts and ensure to get it implemented in the Business
  • Ensuring adherence to all supplier related process and guidelines.
  • Support of project execution in resolving supplier related operational sourcing challenges.
  • Supplier base development and risk management, Supplier Quality Management and Qualification, Claim Management and Supplier Performance Evaluation.
  • Involvement in projects of varying size and scope. Our customers perform their businesses in various fields, which means that the technology used also varies.
  • Build and own the supply base structure for Projects and Services for all global and large spend suppliers
  • Ensure to the keep the Vendor Master list.
  • Actively participate in Vendor development activity and inducting New Vendors.
  • Drive and Ensure application of Project Procure as the workflow tool for cross functional collaboration between SCM and PM's / Sales engineering, efficient RFQ process and central offer repository.
  • As required work in an "extended workbench" mode for the units in Project tendering and execution.
  • Actively participate in all kickoff meetings, represent SCM and analyze the SCM challenge and resolve well within time.
  • Close co-ordination with all cross functional teams to make sure the SCM process are implemented and maintained in the OU
  • Actively participate in expediting the issue to speed up the resolution in terms of lead time, delivery, price.
  • Closely monitor the Project Budget and give the status with respect to Price.
  • Negotiate with supplier to ensure the project executed well within budget and the Cost reduction, Cost Avoidance KPI is met/exceeded.
  • Ensure Supplier Qualification (SAP Ariba), Supplier risk assessment and mitigation, Supplier Performance Evaluation.
  • You will be single point of contact for any Supplier Claim management. Run the process through SNCRP tool. Liaison diplomatically between Project Managers and Suppliers to logically conclude the claim management.
  • Act as single point of contact of the operating unit towards Transport Trade logistics Function.
  • Ensure adherence to all supplier related process and guidelines.
  • Any Risk pertaining to Supplier is to be highlighted well before and take the necessary action.
  • Participate and support in Per-Bid agreements for large projects.
  • Cost reduction/ Cost Avoidance initiatives to be taken and reported in necessary tools.
  • Continual Improvement Projects to be initiated and driven.
  • Ensure quality/accuracy of DATA in SAP. Collaborate with the CSS team.
  • Train and support the team members to achieve SCM process harmony, departmental task. Close coordinates team.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background:

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to influence and build productive relationships.
  • Proficiency in procurement tools, contract management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain management principles, strategic sourcing methodologies, and market analysis.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment, demonstrate initiative, and drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
