Join us as a Jr. Sustainability Application Engineer and become part of the great Transformers team. In this position, you will have the opportunity to expand your expertise and advance your career toward becoming a technical specialist. Working alongside our Senior Application Engineer, you will contribute to technical discussions and help deliver our sustainability value proposition to customers, the sales team, and our factories.

• Support Front End Sales teams and factory Marketing & Sales teams during the tendering process and project execution (e.g., Request for Information, Request for Quotation, and project execution).
• Collaborate with sustainability champions and other stakeholders to gather data for environmental calculations (e.g., Product Carbon Footprint, Life Cycle Assessment, Environmental Product Declarations).
• Perform environmental calculations using Hitachi Energy's calculation tool (training provided).
• Assist the sustainability application engineer team with data collection (e.g., internal project information, market information, competitor analysis).
• support with internal sustainability trainings

• A bachelor's degree in engineering or environmental science obtained from a recognized and accredited institution of higher education. A master's degree in engineering or B2B Marketing is a plus.
• 1-3 years of work experience (or relevant internships) in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Experience in the electrical sector is advantageous.
• Proven knowledge (by education) about Power transformers and/or preferable background in sustainability within the electrical industry (e.g., efficiency, biodegradable fluids, materials).
• Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level).
• Willingness to learn and connect technical skills with marketing needs.
• Strong intercultural sensitivity and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel within Europe up to 30% of the time.
• Willingness to be based at any Hitachi Energy European transformer factory (Cordoba & Zaragoza in Spain, Brilon & Bad Honnef in Germany, Lodz in Poland, Ludvika in Sweden, Monselice in Italy, Vaasa in Finland, Molinazzo di Monteggio in Switzerland)
