The Opportunity:

We are looking for Sustainability Application Engineer to being part of a team that is focused on providing technical advice and support to sales teams and conducting technical analysis of product configurations to determine customer specific pricing. This includes preparing and conducting technical sales briefings for customer and company representatives. Researching customer technical specifications and estimating the costs, resources, time, and technical requirements of modifying, configuring, and installing the product or solution. Evaluating sales proposals to ensure they are technically accurate and consistent with the organization's quality standards.

  • Support Front End Sales teams and factory Marketing & Sales teams during the tendering process and project execution (e.g., Request for Information, Request for Quotation, and project execution).
  • Collaborate with sustainability champions and other stakeholders to gather data for environmental calculations (e.g., Product Carbon Footprint, Life Cycle Assessment, Environmental Product Declarations).
  • Perform environmental calculations using Hitachi Energy's calculation tool (training provided).
  • Assist the sustainability application engineer team with data collection (e.g., internal project information, market information, competitor analysis).
  • support with internal sustainability trainings

Your background:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or environmental science obtained from a recognized and accredited institution of higher education. A master's degree in engineering or B2B Marketing is a plus.
  • 1-3 years of work experience (or relevant internships) in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Experience in the electrical sector is advantageous.
  • Proven knowledge (by education) about Power transformers and/or preferable background in sustainability within the electrical industry (e.g., efficiency, biodegradable fluids, materials).
  • Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level).
  • Willingness to learn and connect technical skills with marketing needs.
  • Strong intercultural sensitivity and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel within Europe up to 30% of the time.
