The Opportunity
Power Conversion Solutions (PCS) is a newly formed Global Product Group (GPG) within Hitachi Energy. PCS aims to become a high-performing, successful, and attractive partner for utilities, IPPs, and integrators by offering an unparalleled package of products, services, and software. Our mission is to drive profitable growth and deliver high-value automation and digital solutions to our customers. To support this ambition we are now looking for an experience Supplier Quality Manager to join the global Quality & Continuous Improvement function and lead the path forward on establishing and strengthening our supply base world wide.
This position can be preferable covered in Italy (Milan & Genova) or Spain (Sevilla).

How you will have an impact:
- Ensure the supplier and supply qualification processes are deployed and adhered to, so that the active suppliers are, and remain, fully qualified and compliant.
- Establish and implement clear guidelines to make the qualification process more effective and efficient, in line with Company regulations & instructions.
- Define quality objectives for Supply Chain and collaborate with the Supply Chain Manager on the PCS supply strategy to ensure quality objectives are met.
- Support Supplier and Supply qualifications as well as the continuous auditing of suppliers.
- Ensure that supplier nonconformities are resolved quicky and where required that the necessary process improvements are identified and implemented by the supplier.
- Establish guideline for periodical review of supplier nonconformities, to identify possible clusters of issues to enable local or global supplier improvement initiatives.
- Ensure execution of effective and timely RCA (Root Cause Analysis) for supplier quality issues.
- Close coordination with project managers, supporting PCS and 3rd party product delivery.
- Conduct Internal Audits as required by the PCS Internal Audit program.
Your Background
- You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in an engineering field and have extensive experience from industry and expertise in supplier quality management.
- Prior experience of managing supply and supplier quality processes and experience of leading APQP, PPAP, and FAI activities.
- Certification in related disciplines such as Lean, Six Sigma, Quality Auditing, etc. are meritorious.
- Strong ability to influence and inspire through personal leadership.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills at all levels, from senior leadership to individual contributors and on a global basis with remote multicultural teams.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
