Grid Integration Service

By joining the GI Service team in Germany (GI Service) you are responsible for carrying out the planned maintenance and servicing work of the automation, communication and safety systems as well as all other electrotechnical systems on converter stations as well as offshore platforms.

The opportunity

In the field of service for high-voltage direct current transmission systems (HVDC) and Power Quality Solutions, you will be part of our service team and responsible for carrying out the planned maintenance and servicing work of the automation, communication and safety systems as well as all other electrotechnical systems on converter stations as well as offshore platforms.

The fascinating and challenging projects are in Germany and several other countries e.g. Democratic Republic of Congo and in the North- and Baltic Sea.

How you'll make an impact

  • Responsible for overseeing the service business operations, including but not limited to the service technical staff, project management and/or tender staff with the objective of improving performance and securing legal compliance in the most cost-effective manner.
  • Execution of operational activities based on policies, customer requirements, budgets and timescales, ensuring that agreed standards are met.
  • Ensuring the timely execution of projects with respect to the given schedules whilst adhering to the set quality standards and KPI's during all execution phases
  • Making important policy, planning and strategic decisions to ensure the effective implementation of a defined work process as well as operational development activities.
  • Preparing action plans for the entire process lifecycle to optimize output with respect to finance and staffing needs, providing information and recommendations to strategy implementation
  • Performing quality control and monitoring of KPIs through effective team coordination

Your background

  • Experience in the professional and disciplinary leadership of employees at professional level (from entry-level to experienced)
  • Ability to lead and coordinate service teams and, where applicable, para-professional or administrative staff
  • Proven capability to set goals and objectives to achieve operational results
  • Ability to handle operational challenges that are demanding but not highly complex
  • Strong understanding of policies, processes, and operational standards
  • Ability to ensure that policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed by team members, customers, and stakeholders
  • Clear and structured communication skills across teams and interfaces
  • High level of responsibility, accountability, and results-oriented mindset
  • Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken
