Senior Technical Product Manager

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to lead the development of the next generation of Asset Performance Management for current and new markets. The position is accountable for the long-term success and cohesion of the core platform upon which Hitachi Energy's Lumada Asset Performance Management Solutions are developed.

The Senior Technical Product Manager will collaborate with geographical dispersed customer facing and product development teams to define product goals and vision. A person in this role will contribute to the product roadmap, from translating customer requirements to product backlog prioritization. Excellent Communications Skills, Process-orientation and data driven mindset are critical to success in this global role.

• Work closely with the Senior Business Product Manager to fully understand market trends and customer needs. In addition to support defining the product strategy and roadmap.
• Work closely with engineering teams to develop and manage technical products.
• Understand and translate customer needs and technology trajectories into technical requirements and guide the development process to deliver high quality technically sound products.
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert to the Product Development Team
• Define success criteria for design, testing and product acceptance with cross-functional teams (e.g. product development, quality assurance)
• Review and prioritize enhancements with customer-facing and product development teams
• Provide internal training on how to use the product.
• Support the competitive capability analysis.
• Facilitate the creation of product documentation.

• Work with third parties when needed to evaluate APIs and capabilities, mapping out integration plans or evaluating different technology options.
• Able to properly assess whether engineering estimates are correct, resources allocated efficiently, review technical specifications, architecture and networking plans, and participate in security, scalability and infrastructure activities on behalf of product management team.

• Master's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science or in a related field of study
• Have an end user working experience in one of the following industries: Transmission and Distribution, Power Generation, Renewables, Manufacturing or Oil and Gas.
• 10+ years of experience working in product management in a software product development organization.
• Deep Knowledge of Asset Performance Management, Enterprise Asset Management and/or adjacent software markets
• Understand the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Experience working with agile product management platforms, customer relationship management (CRM) tools, interface design tools, and process mapping applications
• Understand micro-services, cloud environments, distributed computing for high-availability.
• Demonstrated ability to work with Quality Assurance, Product Development, Marketing, Sales and Customer Support Teams
• Excellent communication and project management skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
