How You'll Make an Impact

  • Design and implement advanced power network applications for real-time control and analysis
  • Collaborate with customers to understand needs and deliver tailored, high-performance solutions
  • Support software releases and troubleshoot complex issues with expert-level insight
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in engineering practices and documentation
  • Stay ahead of the curve with ongoing research in power systems, optimization, and market operations
  • Represent Hitachi Energy in customer meetings, industry events, and technical discussions
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience in power network applications and control, or Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong programming skills in C or FORTRAN and experience with Linux-based systems
  • Solid understanding of power systems modeling, power flow, contingency analysis, and optimization techniques
  • Experience developing software for electric utilities or electricity markets
  • Formal education in power systems optimization and data structures/databases
  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a focus on deregulated electricity markets is a plus
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
