The opportunity:
Hitachi Energy PQS Electrical Engineering (EE) is responsible for the full cycle project engineering execution, designing of MACH hardware control and Protection system, IED based conventional control Protection system, Configuration & testing of Protection system, Auxiliary AC & DC system design including MV/LV Switch boards, Battery systems, Junction boxes and LV Cable sizing and estimation through innovative and reliable solution.
How you'll make an impact:
- Design & execute the PQS project in line with customer specification / FACTS standard/Global standards Viz IEC, ANSI, IEEE etc.
- Execute project within budget by meeting all KPI's (Quality, OTD, Efficiency, Budget)
- Interacts with customers, officials, contractors and others. Attends project meetings and presents specific aspects of engineering assignments and Tender execution as per customer/FACTS requirement
- Preparation of MACH based control and protection system cubicle design and IED based control and protection system cubicle design and FACTS Plant design drawings (Secondary)
- Designing and estimation of Aux. AC & DC power requirements and LV, MV Switch boards including battery systems, UPS, and Voltage stabilizers
- Estimation & Sizing of LV Aux. power, control cables, communication cables & Indication cables
- Purchasing of cubicles, cables, Junction boxes, AC & DC switch boards, MV Switchgear, Battery system, UPS & Voltage stabilizers etc.
- Co-ordination with other departments (Mech. / Control / System Design/ Commissioning) and Validation of the time schedule (EE Dept.) for a project
- Review and coordination with vendor/supplier drawings for Electrical deliverables including primary equipment
- Involving in Site and commissioning support as per requirement and involving in development and supporting activities for continuous process improvements
- Evaluation of sub-supplier and selection as per project requirement and involving in customer FAT according to project demand
- Involving in Site support and commissioning support as per requirement and preparation of As Built Drawings

Your Background:
- Should have 6 - 10 years of experience in Substation secondary/EPC design or project execution or HVDC control & protection hardware design
- Self-starter caliber who could own tasks through to completion
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valuable experience in Control and Protection cubicle design
- Experience in secondary engineering and EPC execution experience in Electrical Grid Industry (Switchyard equipment)
- Experience in Substation/FACTS Project experience or similar field experience in E3 design tool or Similar design tool handling
- Experience in Cable engineering and knowledge & Experience MS Office: Word, Excel
- Team contributor using in-depth knowledge in a specific area to execute complex or specialized projects / challenges often thinking independently to challenge traditional solutions.
- Comprehensive knowledge of related disciplines in the organization and works independently, applying established local & global standards
- Excellent English speaker with an excellent communication skill and dynamic and Proactive, willing to take the challenges and grow in the organization
- Team player, ready to play the role across the different departments/countries and prominent level of ownership & accountability
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
