Job Description:
- Developing and implementing supply chain strategies to improve performance and reduce costs
- Coordinating with other departments such as sales, procurement, and finance to forecast demand or create supply plans that ensure availability of materials
- Assessing and managing risks to supply chain operations due to potential disruptions or variances
- Monitoring and adjusting supply chain activities to meet changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies
- Ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and ethical standards in all aspects of supply chain operations
- Implement & maintain processes to evaluate supplier performance data like delivery, quality etc. to identify opportunities for improvement
- Manage vendor relationships and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards.

Roles and Responsibilities:
The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Ensure optimal capacity procurement and allocation, coordinating the forecast of supply and demand
- Identify areas of risk within the supply chain Category; implement appropriate mitigation measures.
- Enforce terms and conditions of purchase orders and other agreements and compliance with legal requirements and Company policy.
- Analyze supplier spend reports to identify targeted improvements; leverages value for the company.
- Resolve non-conformance issues in a timely manner to minimize the Company's exposure
- Work with Procurement buyers, Category managers and users to ensure internal customer needs are met
- Responsible for planning, organizing and chairing regular Performance Reviews with Suppliers
- Coordinate with the quality team and evaluate the quality of purchased items and resolve short comings.
Your Background
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
- 10 to 15 years of experience in Strategic sourcing at MNC in relevant industry.
- Must have Experience in the development of various Mechanical engineering components like fabrication, Casting, O ring, Forging, machining & other mechanisms
- Sound knowledge & experience of Zero-base costing, should costing, various auction processes.
- Must have technical knowledge of Engineering DWGs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Sound interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of SAP MM.
- Well versed with MS Office.
- Strong Follow up and Expedite Materials skills.
- Basic knowledge of engineering drawing.
