The opportunity:

The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2600+ skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project Management, functional system testing, installation supervision, documentation and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest Operations hub. The India Operations Centre team at Chennai, Bangalore and Gurugram supports Hitachi Energy's units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Hitachi Energy To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Responsible for SCADA Engineering and complete the activities within the project timeline and budget.
  • Prepare SCD file and SAS Architectures in Visio file.
  • Analyse tender documents and technical specifications and prepare Design Documents.
  • Familiar in understanding the panel schematics.
  • Develop new solutions for SAS upgradation projects.
  • Essential knowledge of Primary & Secondary Equipment, Bay Controller Units, SCADA, RTU, and basic protection knowledge.
  • Essential knowledge of Network and Security philosophy.
  • More collaboration with internal team members and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure the deliverables in line with engineering process and gate models.
  • Conducts risk and opportunity assessments during engineering phase to reduce the cost of poor quality and maintain on time delivery. Reports early any contract/quality/program/cost issues to management, along with recommendations for resolution.
  • Use Hitachi energy configuration tools and software.

  • Travel support for FAT & SAT (domestic and international) based on the project requirements.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or Electronics and communication engineering.
  • Should have 6-8 years in relevant fields.
  • Substation automation protocols and communication systems.
  • Knowledge on IEC, ANSI standards in substation.
  • Knowledge of Hitachi Energy Substation Automation products & Engineering software's such as PCM, IET, Micro SCADA, RTUtil etc.
  • Knowledge of other manufacturers' substation Automation software.
  • Knowledge on communication protocol - IEC 61850, IEC 60870 - 5-101, 103, 104, LON, SPA, DPN3, Modbus etc.
  • Knowledge on SCADA testing and validation.
  • Knowledge on various Protocol simulators.
  • Knowledge on SCIL in Micro SCADA.
  • Knowledge on PLC and Structured text.
  • Knowledge on Advance excel, Macros and VB Scripts.
  • Knowledge on Network and Security in Substation Automation System.
  • High technical experience with strong coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
