The opportunity:

The Global Product Manager owns and leads the organization performing the Defect Management and Change Requests. This includes governance of the defects and changes, integration of the different teams working in specific functional areas ("Streams").

How you will make an impact:

  • You will work as the Archetype Leads (ALs) and Business Unit Leads (BLs), specifically on governance and delivery management together with the BU/Function Global Business Process Owners, ensure the connection between SAP CoE and the Global Business Process Owners.
  • You will involve with the Technology team, specifically focusing on release management and development.
  • You will work with the Project Management team to align how to provide the changes delivered for projects from the product team, including project preparation work to help estimating efforts, project tasks. the Technology team on the tool support for the development process, landscape for SAP and connected applications.
  • You will involve with the training team on delivery of training materials suitable to BUs and Functions to train their end users.
  • You will be structuring and maintaining the relationship to and collaboration with ALs, BLs and their counterparts within SAP CoE, resolve conflicts, managing the Product Owners who are responsible for end-to-end (E2E) process harmonization and standardization of the assigned process, as part of the centrally developed SAP Product.
  • You will ensure governance and adherence to guidelines, include customer requirements preparation and all customer-oriented deliverables like training materials, the Global Product Manager will ensure that collaboration between the different areas covered by the Product Owners works smoothly and connected to the corresponding functions and business units.
  • You will be managing the Solution Architects responsible for the technical deliverables and managing the supplier of technical deliverables, managing the Defect Manager responsible for the defect management process and its related supplier, governing change of the SAP solution. The Global Product Manager will bring leadership competency, a global view and experience in business processes and functional areas, technical experience in SAP functions and development.

Your background:

  • You hold bachelor/master's degree in engineering, Business or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in similar position & global view and thorough experience of a specific Hitachi Energy Business Process.
  • Strong decision making and issue resolution skills to make decisions in the specific process area, ability to negotiate and convince Business Units and Archetypes in order to create consensus and strong delivery focus and ability to provide leadership to ensure effective solutions that drive business values.
  • Experienced representing the interests and requirements of the business in an IT implementation project.
  • Ability to generate innovative ideas and challenge status quo, cross-functional understanding of Hitachi Energy business best practices and strategic direction in the context of the business process.
  • Fluent in English language and good interpersonal and communication skills.
