Regional Sales Manager Europe - Automation / Communication Business (f/m/d)
The opportunity
Join Hitachi Energy as our Regional Sales Manager Europe for our Automation & Communication business!
This is a high-impact leadership role focused on driving growth, strengthening customer relationships, and shaping the future of energy automation.
You'll be part of a dynamic, international team, reporting directly to the Hub Marketing & Sales Manager Europe.
This role offers flexibility in location anywhere within Europe. If you enjoy being close to customers and teams, you'll thrive in this position-expect to travel 30-50% of the time across the region, building relationships and driving business where it matters most.
How you'll make an impact
As a strategic sales leader, you'll be at the forefront of driving business development and sales excellence across Europe. Your impact will span across multiple dimensions:
- Design and execute regional sales and business development initiatives aligned with global goals, ensuring targets are met with efficiency and precision
- Set ambitious sales targets and lead your team to exceed them, implementing improvement plans where needed
- Identify and pursue opportunities with both existing and new customers, allocating resources to maximize acquisition success
- Coordinate the flow of sales data-leads, orders, contracts-and analyze performance to guide strategic decisions
- Build trusted partnerships with key decision-makers and ensure impactful marketing communications
- Achieve volume and product mix targets through smart pricing and margin strategies, while managing costs and negotiating key contracts
- Monitor client financials and proactively address contractual risks across channels
- Lead the development and execution of sales processes, training programs, and team development initiatives
- Organize and empower your team with the right structure, skills, and motivation. Foster collaboration and continuous learning across the region
Your background
- 10+ years in sales leadership roles, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams across Europe
- Deep knowledge of the electrical and automation sectors, especially in Utilities, Power T&D, Substation Automation and Communication
- Skilled in managing virtual teams and driving multi-portfolio solution strategies
- Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal skills
- Experienced in navigating global matrix organizations
- Comfortable with and committed to 30-50% travel, enabling close collaboration with regional teams, stakeholders, and leadership across multiple locations
