As R&D Team Leader you will join the Global Technology organization of Business Unit Transformers, contributing to the successful roadmap execution defined for your team.

The R&D Team in Turkey executes R&D project for transformer components, such as measurement and safety devices, bushings and de-energized tap changers as well as design platforms development.

How you will make an impact:

• As an R&D Team Manager your main task will be the coordination of a team of engineers to successfully execute and hand over R&D projects, within the given budget, time and scope as defined by the Technology Managers and Global Product Managers.
• As manager and resource owner, in coordination with Global Technology Group manager, you will lead and distribute work tasks, support the team and the project managers to drive the projects, implement existing and further develop efficient work processes to increase productivity as well as preparing annual budget and follow up execution.
• Ensure that intellectual property rules are followed, and act accordingly.
• In the role you will collaborate directly with other R&D teams, different Hitachi Research Centers, receiving factories and engineering teams around the world, with a local focus for cross functional interaction.
• You will encourage and support the team to challenge existing technology, propose projects and processes contributing to the global plans and processes.
• As part of your role, you will be directly involved in R&D projects, contributing with your technical expertise. In this function, you will ideate, design and develop new technologies in the field of transformer accessories, with particular focus on product industrialization and on modernizing production processes and methods. Additionally, you will run feasibility studies, propose new technical concepts, design new products and simulate or testing their expected performances.
