You will contribute and support the team to achieve successful results in Research & Development projects development for our Transformer Business Unit in Monselice (PD).

We are seeking an engineering student to join our R&D team for an internship of 6 months.

This internship will be in presence in our Monselice Technology center office: our attention therefore for a candidate who lives near this location or who has a car to be able to easily reach our office.

The successful candidate will be mainly engaged in research and development activities and in particular dimensional measurements on power transformer conductors: the data collected from the measurements will be analyzed using simple linear regression and/or machine learning algorithms.

The candidate will also be involved in other research and development activities mainly finalized at data extraction from our power transformer electrical designs and test reports.

The preferable candidate will have a background exam in electrical / mechanical engineering.

Your responsibilities:

  • Check with engineering and quality managers the technical design and quality requirements for conductors used in power transformers.
  • Discuss the technical characteristics of conductors used in power transformers with our in-house experts and our suppliers to understand possible future trends and applications of conductors for power transformers.
  • Carry out mechanical physics and manufacturing power transformer conductors, preparing/update internal technical specifications, tables, DBs etc.
  • Develop and implement testing procedures for the electrical design system.
  • Develop and update the technical documentation, project report and technical articles
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

Your background:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or other scientific areas.
  • University students who are looking for a bachelor or master thesis internship on these fields of application.
  • Skills in metallurgy and resistance of metallic materials will be considered a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Good written and spoken Italian and English.
