R&D Engineer INTERNSHIP
The opportunity
Our R&D engineers and scientists develop breakthrough technologies that change the way the world works, and industries do business. We constantly push the limits of convention, while retaining our focus on delivering solid returns for our customers and shareholders.
You will contribute and support the team to meet successful results in Research & Development projects development for our Transformer Business Unit in Monselice (PD).
We are seeking a student in the field of electrical, mechanical engineering or physics to join our R&D team for an internship. The successful candidate will be engaged in the development of optimization of some parts/features of our transformers through study and electrical and magnetic optimization.
This internship can also have the purpose of developing a thesis. The expected duration of this internship is 6 months.

The internship is also open to recent Master graduates in one of the technical fields indicated above, who want to gain experience in a multinational dedicating themselves to the development of a research and development project.
The internship will be mainly in presence in our Monselice Technology center office: our attention therefore for a candidate who lives near this location or who has a car to be able to easily reach our office.
How you'll make an impact
Support R&D projects focused on sustainability in power transformers, involve exploring and implementing new design methodologies, new advanced materials, and sustainable production techniques to reduce environmental impact and enhance product performance.
Responsibilities include coordinating cross-functional research initiatives, evaluating emerging technologies, and driving the development of eco-efficient solutions from concept to prototype.
Your background
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial engineering or physics (or recognized equivalent).
- Power transformer technology knowledge will be considered a plus.
- Knowledge of lifecycle assessment (LCA), eco-design principles, or circular economy practices is a plus.
- Knowledge of Python or similar program language (C#, R, ...)
- Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office & Outlook
- Excellent problem-solving analytical skills, creativity, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic R&D environment
- Good spoken and written English.
