R&D Engineer - Instrument Transformers

As part of our Grid Components team, you'll help develop instrument transformers-critical components that ensure safe, accurate power transmission across global networks.

You'll be part of a cross-functional R&D team, reporting to a supportive Team Manager, and surrounded by passionate professionals driving real impact. Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.
How You'll Make an Impact

• Lead and contribute to international R&D projects introducing new products.
• Apply advanced techniques to develop and enhance high voltage components.
• Deliver timely, cost-effective, and high-quality project outcomes.
• Provide technical support to meet customer needs and improve product performance.
• Support mechanical and electrical testing in internal and external labs.
• Assist in supplier qualification and maintain technical documentation.
• Identify and manage intellectual property risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate across disciplines to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Your Background

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience working on medium or high voltage instrument transformers, or power transformers
• Skilled in CAD and 3D modeling tools (e.g., PTC Creo).
• Familiarity with PLM systems (e.g., PTC Windchill).
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Comfortable working in cross-functional, international teams.
