Mission Statement:
Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing design software solutions of medium complexity, including end-user applications and operating systems/utility software that serve as platforms for running these applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct requirements analysis, risk assessment, and system architecture design, while ensuring stakeholder engagement and smooth software deployment.
Your Responsibilities:
- Act as a communication channel between engineering teams, R&D teams focused on traction transformers, and the design tool development teams.
- Develop electrical design software for traction transformers including tasks such as testing, debugging, validation, implementation, including new functionalities, and documentation.
- Continuously update or create documentation and technical standards of existing design rules
- Foster communication by developing software solutions that interact with Design Systems.
- Manage design project tasks, ensuring efficient interaction between electrical and mechanical design tools to improve the design process and tool efficiency.
- Review and prioritize bug reports and change requests with local Hitachi Energy units, in collaboration with the Design System Manager.
- Provide feedback and contribute to global improvement projects with innovative solutions and ideas for design optimization and product development.
- Demonstrate persistence and resilience, with a solution-oriented mindset
- Serve as a valuable R&D project member and, as a potential project or sub-project leader, ensure alignment with goals in time, cost, and quality. Coordinate activities with a strong grasp of R&D processes and tools.

- Recognize the importance of intellectual property to our business, engage in IP discussions, prepare project clearance reports, and identify risks in R&D projects.

Your Background
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with an interest in Software Development.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in transformers industry, transformer electrical design.
- Basic understanding of electromagnetism concepts applied to transformers
- Proficient in software development with strong logical thinking skills.
- Familiarity with Matlab, VBA, and SQL is advantageous.
- Team player who is flexible, proactive, result-oriented, and capable of working independently.
- Excellent abilities in teamwork in international teams with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Willing to work in remote and diverse environments
- Willingness to travel to factories when needed
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
