The opportunity

Hitachi Energy is looking for a Transformer service Quality Assurance Specialist for the Business Unit Service to join our innovative and forward-thinking team in Vadodara. In this role, you will ensure consistent quality by executing rigorous quality assurance processes, addressing non-conformities, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. You will oversee quality assurance in assigned projects and orders across suppliers, incoming, in process & delivery, while supporting the LSU Quality Assurance Manager in advanced quality activities. How you will make an impact

• Execute quality assurance processes throughout the service projects lifecycle to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory standards.
• Manage regulatory requirements and customer quality expectations, ensuring clear communication and integration into factory processes.
• Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate quality risks using systematic approaches like Failure Modes and Effects Analysis.
• Design and implement standardized processes and quality systems to prevent errors and enhance product quality
• Lead the investigation and resolution of quality issues through structured problem-solving and corrective actions.
• Contribute to audits, inspections, and verifications to ensure compliance with customer requirements and regulatory standards.
• Develop and implement control plans to monitor and maintain quality throughout production, driving continuous improvement.
• Promote a Zero-Defect Mindset by supporting training programs and fostering a culture of proactive error identification and resolution.

• Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and industry standards (e.g., ISO).
• Proficiency in failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), advanced product quality planning (APQP), and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement effective solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across various teams and levels of the organization.
