Quality process section manager

The opportunity

Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities, employs over 1,900 staff, and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products, Solutions and Services. Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications, including power generation, transmission and distribution, oil, chemical and gas, industrial manufacturing, semiconductor and data centers, as well as building and transportation sectors.

How you'll make an impact

1. You will be responsible for annual process quality strategy according to goal of quality department and company, and developing & audit control plan, QIC, process flow diagram etc.

2. You will be developing the key inspection plan for special, new, bulk orders based on the inputs from Engineering department, implementing and applying statistical process control tools to analyze process data, identify variation trends, and ensure the production process is stable and capable.

3. You will ensure final products are 100% compliant with customer requirements and standards before shipment by managing the final inspection and release process.

4. You will be managing quality issues resolution & improvement according to the RCA of NCR, CCRP.

5. You will be leading quality team including hiring, training, performance management and workload allocation, cross-department communication and drive the quality improvement of relative departments.

6. You will support data analysis & continuous improvement, collect, compile and analyze quality data from the production process and after sales feedback. Leading and participate in continuous improvement projects, utilizing quality tools and methodologies (e.g. PDCA, FEMA, A3, 8D etc.) to drive process optimization, improve product quality, and enhance production efficiency.

7. You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

1. You hold a bachelor's or master's degree of Electrical/mechanical Engineer.

2. Transformer design/process/ experience more than 5 years with Lean 6 Sigma yellow belt or green belt is preferred.

3. Strong team working ability, good communication skills and familiar with quality audit process and quality tools are preferred.

4. Good communication and leadership, a team player, growth mindset, team oriented and autonomous.
5. Quick learner with ability to master new areas and structured approach for problem solving.

6. Curiosity in different types of transformer solution, customer focus, vender solutions etc.

7. Fluent in English Language in both spoken and written is a must.
