The opportunity

We are now looking for a Project Manager to join our Service Business Unit at Hitachi Energy in Lappeenranta or Vaasa. We offer a position with dynamic environment to work close with customers and our own Hitachi Energy team to deliver life cycle service to the market - mainly in Finland. In this position you will have the possibility to deepen your knowledge in high voltage switchgear, their use and maintenance as well as industrial service business. This is also a great opportunity to develop your project management skills. Depending on your background, we will provide training and support to help you grow into this role.

How you'll make an impact

  • In this position, one of your main responsibilities is keeping projects under control - on time, on cost and on quality
  • Tasks include project planning (planning of use of internal and external resources and materials/subcontracting), negotiations with customers and suppliers, documentation and reporting, and sales of change orders

Your background

  • B.Sc. in engineering (preferably electrical or mechanical engineering) or equivalent
  • Knowledge of high voltage switchgear
  • Project management skills (tools and practices, hands-on experiences)
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Strong verbal and written skills in Finnish. Good communication skills in English in work-related situations
  • On a more personal level you can work systematically and are able to work independently and as a member of a team. You can interact with people from diverse backgrounds and skillsets
  • Determined and responsibility to keep achieved targets (e.g., keep customer delivery time commitments)
  • Good skills in MS Office applications. Experience with SAP ERP system is an advantage
