The opportunity
We are looking for a motivated and committed Project Manager at Hitachi Energy, Transformers business in Vaasa, Finland.
In this position, you will be managing transformer delivery projects from the internal kick-off meeting until the project is handed over to the customer and the warranty period has started. You will ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with Hitachi Energy policies, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety and environment requirements, financial targets as well as scheduling commitment.
How you'll make an impact
- You are responsible for the customer interface after the project is handed over from sales to project management.
- You will ensure on-time delivery through close cooperation with internal stakeholders.
- You will arrange and act as a host during customer visits, inspections and factory acceptance tests.
- You will be acting as a link between factory organization and customers.
- You are responsible for managing possible changes during the order-delivery process.
- You will follow calculated vs. actual cost development of projects.

Your background
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in engineering or an equivalent degree.
- Proactive and flexible person who has the ability to take action to solve issues and work independently when needed.
- Good planning and leadership skills.
- Excellent social and negotiation skills.
- Basic computer skills and a good command of written and spoken communication skills in Finnish and English. Swedish is seen as advantage.
- Project management experience in a multi-project organization.
- Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge is an advantage.
- Project management certificate is an advantage but not a requirement.
