Hitachi Energy is seeking for a Buyer for HV/EHV projects in Greece and Cyprus. The Buyer will Conduct all Procurement & Logistic activities for Goods and Services in accordance with Hitachi Energy policy and procedures.
He/She will also ensure completion of procurement activities, efficiently and cost-effectively, in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Your Responsibilities:
- Release Request for Quotation to suppliers.
- Evaluate offers and negotiate with suppliers considering the critical conditions of the client's contract.
- Ensure sourcing from qualified suppliers and initiate Performance Evaluations
- Create Purchase Orders in SAP after clarifying project requirements with Project Management and Engineering.
- Procure to Pay Process responsibility for project material from order creation until invoice resolution.
- Expedite and ensure that goods are delivered as per project schedule.
- Ensure cost reduction targets are met and timely reported in compliance to both project specific targets as well SCM HUB based targets.

Your Background:
- University Degree in an engineering or natural science discipline or any other qualification that is deemed suitable for the role.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a supply chain function, preferably in project environment
- Good Greek and English language knowledge both written and spoken.
- Excellent knowledge of MS office
- Experience with SAP or other ERP system.
- Strength in commercial/legal aspects of purchasing
- Good communication & proven negotiation skills
- Drive to continuously create results and innovative solutions
- Skilled communicator who can interface with numerous external and internal parties at different levels in a project environment
