Productions Shift Engineer

General information:

Manufacturing Production (Night) Shift Engineer or assists with managing various production activities with full emphasis on HSE (e.g., assembly, material forming/shaping, processing, treating, or packaging, etc.) including Details Planning, directing, and monitoring production to meet established specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards. Liaising with Manufacturing Engineering, Planning, etc. as input to developing production schedules and allocating labor/capital resources. Planning, prioritizing, and managing production line maintenance/downtime to minimize disruptions, applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. May require the following proficiency: Works independently with general supervision. Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex. May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.

Lead a team within a production unit or line in the execution of production processes to transform parts and raw materials into Hitachi Energy products in a timely, cost-effective manner. Ensure continuous and efficient operation in accordance with volumes.

Yours responsibilities:

  • You will ensure that production scheduling and production plan are meets the volume requirements as agreed in the demand plan and production process aligns with the project targets and performs the final test in accordance with the projects data and update all Visual Control Planning Board, Tier Accountability Board S-Q-D-I-C are up to date by DAILY and Physical Materials Checking to ensure that all the needed full i.e., Drawings, Materials, Equipment must be available before starting each process to smooth bottleneck (Vapor Phase and Testing in productions on regular base as per demand plan.
  • You will drive quality, inspection control point of each process with signature signed, quality improvement through target setting, monitoring, and benchmarking to continuously improve processes, RCA required for any NCR which related to Final assembly and packing. (A3 for cost impact and 8D for customer impact).
  • You will ensure process are in compliance with applicable productions standard, quality standards, drive continued improvements in productivity, delivery performance and cost optimization, Housekeeping and layout control, keep clean and tidy all the time. You will ensure that all finished goods transformer is delivered with completed parts, no missing materials, otherwise must be approved by factory before delivers.
  • You will implement Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), business compliance standards and regulations within the units, ensure a safe working environment, continuous improvement in HSE process and integrity performance and ensure all ABRA must be available and up-to date. You will reinforce and maintain a culture of health & safety in all production development initiatives.
  • You will ensure efficient and cost-effective production results that meet order demand, specifications, quality, planning targets through the coordination and management of plant equipment, personnel overtime control, and production processes (quantity, quality, budgeted costs and proper productivity level) to achievement of established targets, through improvement actions as needed, focus on achievement of revenue (manage Vapour phase and test utilization) and operating cash flow, project on-time and on-cost, requested on-time delivery (OTD) and cost reduction and ensure execution of volume, conforming product, and on-time delivery targets for the assigned production lines.
  • You will report and control all production manhours for both planned and actual and input actual figure to SAP, SPEX, ECS on-time and control data quality and monthly report of TPT, OTD, Cost-out Saving, Overtime Control, Man-hour utilization, provide reports and shares with other colleagues and functions as needed.
  • You will ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed, guide, motivate, and develop direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies. You will organize and allocate resources to effectively and efficiently meet line production targets. Responds to resource issues as necessary and lead capacity planning and resource optimization for the assigned unit Training provided to the whole teams both product/process knowledges.

Your background:

  • Bachelor's degree of Engineering in any related field. (Engineering of Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Industrial/etc.) or bachelor's degree of any field.
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years in supervisor level for manufacturing, assembly production and quality control.
    Experience in Transformer business will be advantage.
  • Experience in Productions Assembly and Processes Control and Machine improvement to support production/operations to achieve maximize productivities from existing company assets and resources, through process improvement and adopt ion of LEAN manufacturing process and project will be advantage.
  • Qualified Blackbelt/Green Belt or Yellow Belts will be advantage.
  • Work well under pressure and Strong in Planning, Negotiation. Ready to works will be advantage (urgent required).
  • Computer skill in any ERP or SAP. advance-Excel will be advantage.
  • Good command of Thai, English communication.
