Product Owner for Energy Markets
Enterprise Software Solutions Group supports customers' operations across the electricity market, from energy generation, through transmission and distribution to supply.
Join our R&D Team which provides solutions for wholesale electricity trading and markets communications. Our product is a critical part of business infrastructure enabling 24/7 operations.
As a Product Owner you will be responsible for understanding the evolving regulations in the electricity markets, assessing the priorities of customer requests and managing day-to-day software delivery. You will be involved in maintaining existing products and developing future solutions based on current needs.
How you'll make an impact:
- Develop and define business feature domain expertise and be the voice of the customer for the team
- Interface with Product Management to take requirements and establish those into Epics, Features and activities (tasks) for the team
- Defining product requirements for the team
- Facilitate the backlog grooming with the team to provide the estimations and the feasible plan
- Support the QA team with testability and test execution aimed to meet acceptance criteria
- Work with lead developers and architect to establish non- functional/system/performance requirements
- Provide acceptance and progress status for feature delivered
- Monitor industry innovations and conduct business assessments
- Maintain status dashboard and risks for assigned products
Your background:
- Degree in a related field of study and typically 7 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Completely understands and applies job practices, techniques, standards, principles, and concepts.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills. Ability to effectively cooperate with the Stakeholders including Customers, Product Management and Development Team.
- Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems referring to established precedents and policies.
- Receives general direction for work that is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Participates in determining objectives of assignment; plans, schedules, and arranges own activities to accomplish those objectives.
- Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve objectives typically have a serious effect upon the administration of the organization.
- Energy industry background with the business knowledge on Energy trading markets.
