Product Design Engineering Team Leader

The Opportunity

Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities, employs over 1,900 staff, and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products, Solutions and Services. Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications, including power generation, transmission and distribution, oil, chemical and gas, industrial manufacturing, semiconductor and data centers, as well as building and transportation sectors. Nearly half of our white-collar workforce comprises employees in engineering and scientific fields. Internally, we have targeted talent development programs for employees at different stages of their career development to build skills and competencies, foster training, support people to own career development, scale up organization for growth and execution.

• Make development strategy for Hub Engineering Center in line with strategy on HUB level
• Establish and maintain HEC management guideline to guide the team in systematic way
• Work closely with factories HEC served to complete the task assigned
• Take care of daily business of HEC team and leverage the loading between factories
• Drive the synegy between factories for these common functions such simulation, auxilinary design, etc.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth and efficient engineering process

• Bachalor or Master degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
• Strong team leadership and teamwork with cross-functional communications and influential skills;
• Customer focused;
• Self-motivated, energized, and results oriented;
• Creative thinking with demonstrated analytical skills and structured work approach;
• Ability to work independently toward timely completion of a variety of assignments;
• Fluent in English (both speaking and writing)
