Operations Manager
The opportunity
Hitachi Energy is looking for an Operations Manager for our Power Transformers factory in Sweden. This growing factory is one of the biggest within Hitachi Energy, with about 900 employees. You will be an important part of the factory management team and have a big impact.
The Power Transformers factory is growing fast and offers a great chance for a motivated leader to improve quality, increase productivity, and ensure excellent product delivery. As Operations Manager, you will support your team's growth and help the organization expand. You will oversee three levels of managers; total scope is around 500 employees. You will also manage hiring and resource planning to build necessary skills.

How you'll make an impact
- Lead by Example: Support your team, handle change well, and encourage top performance.
- Set Goals: Create clear targets and challenge the team with organized plans.
- Drive Success: Align efforts to reach goals and improve the Power Transformers factory.
- Ensure Quality: Follow current standards and quality guidelines, continually improving processes.
- Holistic Leadership: Be active in the factory management team, giving complete oversight.
- Prioritize Safety: Follow HSE regulations, assess risks, and improve safety processes.
- Develop Skills: Help grow the skills needed to face future industry challenges.
Background
- Leadership Experience: Extensive experience in production management or leading roles with the ability to manage other managers.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in heavy industry with success in driving change and achieving results.
- Knowledge of Quality Tools: Familiar with quality improvement methods like Lean, Six Sigma, FMEA.
- Technical Knowledge: Technical education or similar experience with a good understanding of production flows.
- Inspirational Leader: Open-minded, communicative, and good at motivating teams.
- Bilingual: Fluent in English and Swedish, which is essential for working globally.
