MES Solution Architect

Your responsibilities:

  • Responsible to translate requirements specifications into IT Manufacturing solutions in alignment with existing services and standard technology components.
  • Define technical solution documentation, including architectural diagrams, design and integration specifications, data structures and system documentation.
  • Responsible for requirements management process. Ensure that the final solution meets business objectives
  • Work together with the testing team to validate the solution is fit for use.
  • Determine non-functional requirements and ensure service / solution operation standards are considered accordingly
  • Engage in requirements engineering to decide which requirements are covered by available standard functionalities, for which functionalities enhancements are needed and for which functionalities workarounds are accepted
  • Formulate rules, principles and guidelines to guide the development of the technical solutions
  • Support the Run organization in the incident and problem resolution when technical expertise is required

Your background:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, industrial engineering, automation engineering or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in solution architecture and design in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Good knowledge of ISA95, Lean manufacturing, Kanban, JIT, MTO, MTS, Job, batch, and mass production methods
  • Understanding of software solutions in the area of MoM/MES (knowledge on MES/ECS is welcome)
  • Thorough knowledge of IT service management concepts (ITIL).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical challenges
  • Fluent English language, written and spoken
  • Estimated 20% travel
