Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities, employs over 1,900 staff, and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products, Solutions and Services. Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications, including power generation, transmission and distribution, oil, chemical and gas, industrial manufacturing, semiconductor and data centers, as well as building and transportation sectors.

How you'll make an impact
- You will do meeting with clients and design teams to determine mechanical applications and requirements.
- You will be planning and executing mechanical designs using CAD tools, like CREO, performing computer simulations, experimenting to virtually test and refine the designs.
- You will be overseeing the development and manufacturing of physical prototypes for testing, documenting the design process, iteration, and test analytics.
- You will manage project timelines, resources, and budgets, keep abreast of the latest advancements in technology, design trends, and engineering best practices.
- You will run design for excellence practices (DFA, DFM, FMEA, etc.), prepare reports and related documents in accordance with internal and external requirements.
- You will support the design, manufacturing, quality and supply chain organizations with technical expertise to ensure that technical requirements are fulfilled.

Your background
- You hold master's or bachelor's degree combined with work-life experience in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- More than 3 years of experience in Design & Engineering.
- Knowledge on electrical engineering is a plus.
- Proficiency with engineering design programs such as AutoCAD and CREO.
- Solid knowledge of design and engineering principles and best practices.
- Understanding of electrical, magnetic and thermal phenomena.
- Excellent verbal and written English.
