The opportunity
The Product excellence team is ensuring product quality, reliability, and performance throughout the product lifecycle, leading among others design change tasks, customer requests, material updates, and supplier transitions. This role also involves coordinating and managing activities to support cost, quality, and factory goals on daily production and new product launches, as well as maintaining and updating technical documentation related to products.

- The ideal candidate will be the part of the Mechanical design and engineering team specialized on Medium Voltage Surge arresters
- Responsible for Preparation of Customer documents, Manufacturing drawings, Bill of materials etc

- Responsible for development of special customer solutions in coordination with Sales and Product management.
- Leading change management activities related to design adjustments, and material changes
- Coordinating design activities with Global Product Support
- Working to maintain and improve product quality through various engineering processes and testing methodologies
- Identifying and resolving complex product-related issues, often involving collaboration with other teams
- Working closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain, to ensure product success

Your background
- Graduate in Mechanical Engineering
- Working experience in Mechanical Design for High Voltage manufacturing industry will be considered a plus
- Good understanding of international standards ISO/IEC Standards
- Should understand basic electrical concepts such as clearance/creepage, basic layout
- Experience in electrical component design is advantage.
- Knowledge on CAD software, any 3D Modeling software like Creo is a must
- A team player, open with information and willingly contributes to team discussions with an ability to work without supervision when required
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
