The Opportunity
Are you passionate about advanced materials and eager to shape the future of high-voltage technology? Join us at Hitachi Energy's competence center in Piteå, where we specialize in high-performance polymer Fiber composites.
We are looking for two experienced, committed Production/Process Development Engineers to help drive innovation and enhance our composite product manufacturing for high-voltage applications.
As a production development engineer, you participate in both the development of new products and manufacturing processes, as well as in the review of existing production to increase quality and capacity. You act as an important link between production and quality. The role includes specification, selection, commissioning, and adaptation of equipment and manufacturing methods for new products. It also involves contributing to the preparation of investment justifications to enhance the factory's productivity and capacity in line with the increasing demand for our products.

How you'll make an impact
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes
- Produce and improve production documentation
- Participate in risk assessments and risk management
- Evaluate new manufacturing methods
- Identify and recommend improvement opportunities and implement improvement projects
- Ensure that new or altered production processes meet established requirements
- Participate in investment projects and commissioning of new machines
Your background
- Engineering education at high school or university level with a focus on industrial engineering, production engineering, mechanical engineering, or similar
- Experience in CNC machining and CAM preparation, or road experience in industrial manufacturing processes for high-performance polymer Fiber composites
- Good knowledge of reading drawings and tolerances
- Analytical, meticulous, structured, and responsible
- Ability and willingness to acquire and convey new knowledge and skills
- Team player who finds it easy to collaborate with others
- Good communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish and English are a mandatory requirement
- Knowledge in automation is an advantage
