Maintenance Engineer Intern

You as a Maintenance Engineer Intern (Open) will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Jefferson City, Missouri, United States of America. You will be leading the maintenance department in implementing TPM (total productive maintenance) tools and strategies including preventative maintenance, kaizen, 5S, and standard work.

Your responsibilities:

• Learning root cause problem solving strategies and assist in leading and coaching others in the department.
• Participating in base condition and other kaizen events to learn the mechanics of the machinery.
• Leading the implementation of business processes and tools.
• Living Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

• A bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical engineering Desire to work in manufacturing environment.
• Appreciate hands-on and working directly with those maintaining and repairing production and facilities machinery.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited university program in the US
• Must be currently authorized to work for Hitachi Energy in the US
