Local Supply Chain Professional

The opportunity

We are looking for a Local Supply Chain Professional for our HUB Europe team in Grid Automation Business Unit. The location for this role is in Vaasa, Finland.

In this role you will be accountable for obtaining goods and services required by the project including direct operations. The procurement processes include, for example, product and service sourcing, supplier selection, terms negotiation, order processing, contract administration and supplier performance management. Your role can also include some strategic sourcing activities. Depending on your background, we will provide training and support to help you grow and develop into this role.

How you'll make an impact

  • Identify new suppliers in cooperation with a relevant team. Qualify new suppliers in cooperation with Engineering, Tendering, Project management and Supplier Quality specialists.
  • Negotiate offers and agreements with suppliers, and periodically renew pricelists, terms, and conditions.
  • Cascade the project contractual requirement to the supplier order and/or contracts.
  • Support bid and proposal teams by providing commercial offers as per tender needs.
  • Responsible for identifying and reporting tender costs of improvement and cost reduction activities.
  • Oversee supplier performance (on time delivery, quality, lead time) and resolve performance issues.
  • Conduct all SCM (Supply Chain Management) activities for all goods and services in accordance with policies and procedures. Ensure global supplier relationship management tool is kept updated.
  • Oversee and coordinate purchasing activities for Finland local unit with our Common Shared Services (CSS) team in Tallinn.

Your background

  • Proven work experience in procurement since 5 years. Energy sector is a plus.
  • Experienced with supplier qualification, selection, negotiation processes.
  • Work experience in industry with international vendors is preferred.
  • Familiarized with local Finnish energy market, especially in service procurement field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • High flexibility and ability to manage multiple tasks, being target oriented and capable to prioritize when working under pressure.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment and international organization.
  • Finnish and English are a must, any other language is a plus.
