We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Leader to manage our Tender Team, focusing on bidding for large-scale projects such as offshore. This role is pivotal in driving our strategic initiatives and ensuring the successful acquisition of high-value contracts in the offshore sector.

  • Effective Communication: must possess excellent communication skills to convey ideas clearly, challenge constructively, and influence at all levels. Building strong networks and fostering open dialogue.
  • Collaboration and Team Building: Building interdependent relationships and facilitating team dynamics. Leader to work towards consensus and encourage team members to take responsibility for tasks and relationships

Strategy and Planning

  • Strategy Formulation: Develop tender strategies and execution plans aligned with customer expectations and needs, including commercial setup, internal setup, and value proposition.
  • Tender Preparation: Coordinate the preparation of contract and bid documents, ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained throughout the process.

Team and Stakeholder Management

  • Tender Team Management: Provide guidance and support to ensure efficient and on-schedule task completion. Facilitate collaboration with key stakeholders and oversee the quality and timeliness of deliverables.
  • Resource Planning: Planning the resources required to execute business strategies, including hiring & staffing for opportunities.
  • Stakeholder Management: Align with expert functions (insurance, tax, finance, legal) and ensure their input is integrated into the tender appropriately. Align with local OUs on Tender needs and expected role deliverables

Risk and Cost Management

  • Risk and Opportunity Management: Identify and quantify technical and commercial risks and opportunities during the tender phase and execution. Develop and execute mitigation actions.
  • Cost Management: Oversee target costs related to the tender strategy, ensuring competitiveness, and monitor cost-related aspects during the tender process.

Negotiation and Customer Focus

  • Negotiation: Participate in technical and commercial negotiations, ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the tendering and sales process.
  • Customer Focus: Ensure a positive customer experience by providing necessary support during negotiations and meetings with customers .

Performance and Compliance

  • Performance Guarantee Management: Manage performance guarantees, including definition, measurement philosophy, and associated schemes 3 .
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure adherence to established processes and procedures, and manage the documentation of deviations and clarifications. Establish best in class process along the Tender stream , from Sales handover to handover to execution.

Recruitment and Onboarding

  • Onboarding: Lead the onboarding process, ensuring new employees are integrated into the team and understand their roles and responsibilities .


  • Performance Management: Global Performance Management annual appraise team performance, set targets, and discuss development plans and career aspirations with employees.
  • Learning and Development: Identifying learning and development needs and plans of employees and ensuring relevant actions are taken to meet business strategy and targets.

Your Background:

  • Proven experience in managing tender teams and leading large-scale project bids, preferably in the offshore sector.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
